The Rock Church School soccer team, of Franklin, defeated Suffolk Christian Academy 7-1 on Oct. 10 to conclude a perfect regular-season run, going 14-0.
The undefeated Rock Lions headed into the 1A Mid-Atlantic Christian Athletic Association State Tournament as the No. 1 seed from the north.
Leading the Lions this year has been senior forward D.J. Dillon, who reached the 200-goal milestone in his Rock career in the regular season’s penultimate game, which fell on Senior Night.
Dillon has scored 66 goals this year, and his career total spans six years, including his junior varsity and varsity tenures.
