SEDLEY – Phillip Brown Tart, 69, passed away on Nov. 10, 2022 with his family by his side. Born in Newton Grove, North Carolina, he was a son of the late Percy B. Tart and Lea Brown Tart.

Phillip was a truck driver and a carpenter and served in the U.S. Army.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 18 years, Carolyn Holt Ellis-Tart; a daughter, Lindsay Michelle Clifton of Clayton, North Carolina; a son, Jeremy Tart of Charlotte, North Carolina; three stepdaughters, Lisa E Turner, Renee E. Norris and Allison E. Darden; a sister, Sharon Raynor of Newton Grove, North Carolina; four brothers, Wayne Tart, Jerry Tart, Joe Tart and Kevin Tart all of Newton Grove, North Carolina; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 13 at Corinth Friends.
