SUFFOLK – Byron Todd Walker, 58, passed away on Dec. 5, 2022 in Southampton Memorial Hospital.

Todd was born on Feb. 11, 1964 in Welch, West Virginia and was a welder and wire room attendant for Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was a former life insurance agent for Woodman of the World and Knights of Columbus and was a former member of St. Jude’s Catholic Church, St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus.

He was a Harley Davidson enthusiast and an avid hunter. Todd was very proud of his membership in AA and his five years of sobriety.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 29 years, Michelle Denise Walker; his father, Keith Walker; his mother, Carolyn Gillespie; a daughter, Rhiannon Gabrielle Walker; a son, Blake Aaron Walker; two brothers, Steve Walker and Wally Gillespie and a granddog, Kane.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2 – 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 9, 2022 in Wright Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, make memorial donations in Todd’s memory to your favorite charity.
