FRANKLIN – Rosser “Boots” Edward  Bryant, 86, the son of the late Rosser Barrett Bryant and Rowena V. Darden Bryant, passed away on Sept. 19, 2022. He is predeceased by his wife of 54 years, DiAnne Hurdle Bryant.

Boots served with the Franklin unit of the Virginia National Guard after attending Newsoms High School and Chowan College. He attended New Hope United Methodist Church and Barnes United Methodist Church. Boots became a founding lifetime member of the Ruritan Club in Como, North Carolina; a 30-year board member for Community Electric Cooperative in Windsor and president and founding member of Como Farmers Hunt Club.

He is survived by his daughter, Susan Elaine Bryant.

A private joint celebration-of-life luncheon was held in December in honor of both Boots and DiAnne.
