City of Franklin, Southampton County and town of Windsor offices will be closed Monday, Feb. 20, in observance of Presidents’ Day.

Southampton County Administrative Assistant Tina Bradshaw noted that county solid waste collection sites will be closed as scheduled. She said that if there is an emergency with water or sewer, citizens should call 757-653-2100.

During the Franklin City Council meeting Monday, Feb. 13, City Manager Amanda C. Jarratt said, “We will be closed, as a city, on Feb. 20 for observance of Presidents’ Day, so the trash collection for that Monday will occur on that Tuesday.”
