S.P. Morton Elementary School students got a nice surprise on March 1. Eliese DeGroff, whose sons attend the school, presented a contribution of the “Whatif Monster Chapter Book Series” by Michelle Nelson-Schmidt. DeGroff also teaches eighth grade science, earth science and ecology at Franklin High School. She said earlier this week, “I was speaking with the author, Michelle Nelson-Schmidt, online about her book series and how I wanted to get a set for the school. On Friday, I got a box in the mail with the 18-book set, all donated and paid for by her Storytime Live listeners.” Pictured are DeGroff, center, with her son, Henry, and Library Media Specialist Janice Askew.
