The Franklin High School Employee of the Month for March is Cherita Long. A school news release noted that Long is an exceptional education teacher that goes above and beyond for her students and all students. She works as case manager for the seniors and supports them in preparing for graduation and beyond. Her classroom is a safe space where most students feel comfortable coming to work and seek advice as needed. She provides in-person instruction and meets virtually during the school day and after school hours with students on her caseload to ensure that their services are provided. She is visible in the hallways during transitions and reminds all students of the expectations for behavior while encouraging them to make wise choices. “She is definitely a huge part of the success at FHS, and we are fortunate to have her as part of the team,” school officials said.
