COURTLAND – Ernest Keith Wheeler, 56, passed on May 17, 2023. A lost soul at peace. He was born Feb. 23, 1967 in Portsmouth, Virginia.

He was a carpenter by trade. He loved putting “lipstick on a pig.” He lived his life to the fullest. He endured many life changes throughout. He was the eighth child of all 10 siblings. He was a man of many words, mainly by choice. He fought a 2-year battle of cancer and he fought with everything he had but the good Lord took him to a better place, where he is pain free. A special lady in his life, Lisa, was dedicated, supportive and was by his side through it all. Special thanks to her

for her continued loyalty.

He was predeceased by Shirley Wheeler, Roy Wheeler, Barbara Wheeler, Cody Wheeler. He is survived by Lisa Blythe, his son, Elijah K. Wheeler and his daughter, Myriah Wheeler; four grandkids, Serenity Wheeler, Kyrum Wheeler, Brendon Wheeler and Ester Wheeler. Left to cherish his memories are Peggy Castelow (Benny), William Ebron Jr., Phillip Ebron (Dorothy), Audrey C. Hines (Todd), Florence V. Johnson (Bootie), Tricia W. Rideout (Bruce), Hank J Wheeler (Kathy), Douglas Wheeler (Brenda) and Traci Wheeler.
