April FCPS Alumni Spotlight: Robin A. Jones

Robin A. Jones is a 1981 graduate of Franklin High School. While a student at FHS, she participated in various clubs and activities to include Senior Class President, SCA, DECA Club, J.V. and Varsity cheerleader, attendant for Homecoming and Pine Bowl. Upon graduating from FHS, Robin matriculated to North Carolina Central University, Durham, N.C. where she obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in accounting in 1985. She was active in SGA and a member of the Alpha Chi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Robin spent three years as a school administrator with a Catholic elementary school in Durham, where she handled all administrative functions; eight years as manager of administration with a construction management/engineering firm, Durham, where she traveled extensively to various office locations and job sites managing all corporate administrative matters and, coordinating and supervising activities in marketing, operations and accounting departments; 12 years as human resources manager with an information technology company, Newport News, assuming primary responsibilities for all HR functions. For the past 14 years Jones has been the director of administration with First Baptist Church, Franklin, assuming primary responsibilities for office, finance, membership, and community outreach functions. She is also an active member under the leadership of Rev. Marcus D. Jennings. There, she serves as event planning coordinator, on the finance team, FLAIR women’s ministry, evangelism ministry and the outreach ministry.
Jones is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She is a former board member of the Franklin Redevelopment Housing Authority and a current board member of FBC-Camp Courageous. She is also the owner of RoJo Consulting Services LLC and co-owner of A Perfect Combination Jewelry & Associates.
Jones is thankful for the opportunity to be recognized as the Alumnus of the Month — she considers it an honor and a privilege.
