WINDSOR – Bobby Ray Cantrell, 83, passed away July 3, 2023 in his home surrounded by his family. Bobby of Melvin, Kentucky, was a son of the late William Dewey and Frankie Evelyn Cantrell. He was an Army veteran and retired from the Newport News Shipyard. He was a member of Windsor Congregational Christian Church and the Nansemond Indian Tribe. Mr. Cantrell enjoyed ping pong, horseshoes and bowling.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 62 years, Linda Sue Cantrell; one daughter, Mary Evelyn Wilkinson; one son, Timothy Ray Cantrell; one brother, Kenneth Cantrell; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Services will be private.
