WAKEFIELD – Judy Thomas Presson Baldwin, 75, of Wakefield, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2023. She was a daughter of the late Harris Collier Presson and Dorothy Lorraine Murphy Presson.
Judy was a lifelong member of Rocky Hock Methodist Church and Wakefield Baptist Church; she was a staple of the community. She worked as a dining room manager at the Airfield 4-H Conference Center and sold Avon for over 50 years. Judy was a volunteer with the mission friends where she helped teach about God th
rough arts and crafts and taught Sunday school at multiple churches through the years. She was active in the Wakefield Woman’s Club, Friends of the Wakefield Library and would visit nursing homes on a regular basis. Judy loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling the world and could be found at any local ball field watching her son and grandchildren playing ball.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel Lee Baldwin; children, April Baldwin, Joe Baldwin and Jason Baldwin (Laura); grandchildren, Heather Holt, Dianna Raines (Bryant), Parker Holt (Angel), Joseph Baldwin Jr., Hayley Calhoun (Justin), Jordan Baldwin, Joshua Baldwin, Selina Baldwin, Emmalyn Baldwin and Henley Baldwin; great-grandchildren, Carter Raines, Brynne Raines, Wyatt Calhoun, Zoey Calhoun and Eli Baldwin; twin sister, Jane Franklin (Ben); sister, Berdie Duck (Leland); brother, Collier Presson (Debbie), along with many other family and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 7, at 11 a.m. at Rocky Hock Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, Nov. 6 from 6 – 8 p.m. in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, Wakefield Chapel.
