FRANKLIN – Claude Edward “Mickey” Fowler Sr., 85, passed away Dec. 27, 2023, in his home. Born in Southampton County, he was a son of the late William Joseph Fowler and Annie Estel Fowler. He was also predeceased by his loving wife of 55 years, Beatrice Crumpler Fowler; two daughters, Anna Lee Fowler and Genny Kirkpatrick; a son, Claudie Fowler Jr.; three sisters, Della, Viola and Edna; and five brothers, Bill, David, Charles and Rochelle Fowler and Oscar McCleny.

Left to cherish his memory is two daughters, Glenda F. Scott (Scotty) and Sarah F. Wettig (Tim); a sister, Barbara Ann “Bobbie” Hellinfinger; two brothers, Willie “Dilly” Fowler (Teri) and Daniel “Dukie” Fowler (Janet); nine grandchildren, Racheal Heikens, Kendall Powell, Derek Powell, Kevin Kirkpatrick, Steven Fowler, Douglas and Tina Bradshaw and Lee and Jonathan Scott; and six great-grandchildren, Madison Cooley, Gabriel Powell, Mia Powell, Bentley Bradshaw, Becca Bradshaw and Dean Scott.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 30 in Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Poe officiating. Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and suggests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
