FRANKLIN – James Robert “Jim” Bryant, 85, passed away Dec. 27, 2023 in Courtland Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born in San Diego, California, he was a son of the late George Russell Bryant and Olive Katherine Johnson Bryant. He was also predeceased by his wife, Sherry Parker Bryant.

Jim was a Navy veteran and was a retired west coast regional logistics manager for NOAA with 22 years of service. He was a member of Ocean View Baptist Church.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Mary Lynn Bryant of Seattle, Washington; two sons, James Robert Bryant Jr. (Ann) of Bangor, Maine and Mark Allen Bryant (Amanda) of San Paulo, Brazil; a sister, Mary Kay Miller of Suffolk; a brother, Larry Bryant of Ft. Myers, Florida; and three grandchildren, Conrad, Diana and Perla Bryant.

The family will receive friends at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 7 at The Village at Woods Edge and suggests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
