COURTLAND – Donald Lee Gay, 71, passed away Jan. 8, 2024 in his home with his family by his side. Born in Suffolk on June 25, 1952, he was a son of the late Charlie Lee Gay Jr. and Inez Bencil Allen Gay.

Donald was a retired painter for Metro Machine Works.

Survivors include a daughter, Stephanie Ward; a twin brother, Ronald Lee Gay; three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at noon on Saturday, Jan. 13 in Wright Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Holly Lawn Cemetery in Suffolk. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home and suggests that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
