BOYKINS – Denise Johnson Edwards, 59, passed away Jan. 20, 2024 in Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. Denise was a lifelong resident of Boykins and was the daughter of the late Leo and Jo Ann Johnson.

She was a 1982 graduate of Southampton High School and was a member of Boykins Baptist Church. Denise was a former waste water treatment plant operator in Boykins.

Left to cherish her memory is her wife, Kathy Wiggs; stepson, Steven Ray Wiggs Jr. and one granddaughter.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27 in Wright Funeral Home in Franklin with Pastor Brooks Gayle officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and suggests donations be made to Wright Funeral Home to help pay funeral expenses.
