Janice Holemon, a 2008 graduate of Franklin High School, pursued her academic journey at Saint Augustine’s University in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in December 2012. Following her undergraduate studies, she furthered her education at Liberty University in Lynchburg, graduating with a Master of Arts degree in Marriage & Family Therapy in December 2015. By August 2018, she obtained licensure as a Marriage & Family Therapist.

Holemon commenced her career as a direct care assistant within the Community Alternative Program (CAP), catering to individuals diagnosed with Mental Retardation/Developmental Disabilities (CAP-MR/DD). She implemented various therapeutic techniques, including Verbal Behavioral, Picture Exchange Communication System, Applied Behavioral Analysis, and Nonviolent Crisis Interventions, while providing counseling to at-risk adolescents facing behavioral challenges at a mental health residential treatment facility.

In 2019, Holemon redirected her career trajectory, establishing her mental health outpatient practice in Virginia, offering services to individuals, families, and couples. Additionally, she serves as a VA Board Approved Supervisor for Residents in Marriage & Family Therapy & Residents in Professional Counseling.

Janice is committed to resource development, creating workbooks, planners, and E-courses to enhance mental health. She prioritizes family time, finding joy in the company of her son, Justice, and close friends, embracing laughter and cherished moments.
