Let me begin by talking about Israel. Israel became a nation back in 1948. on May 14th of that year to be exact. This was the fulfillment of God’s gift to His chosen people, The Promised Land. Just eleven minutes after David Ben-Gurion read the Declaration statement concerning Israel’s statehood, America’s President Harry S. Truman, a Democrat, endorsed the new nation of Israel. Almost immediately, the surrounding Arab countries were infuriated and tried to stamp out this new nation. Five Arab nations attacked the new nation of Israel. The attacking nations were Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria. This infant nation was able to fend off those attacks. Having only a few old World War II surplus tanks, planes and other equipment and arms they defended themselves and won the day. Then in 1967 they were attacked again by Egypt, Syria and Jordan. In only six days, the Israeli forces were able, not to just defend their new land, they captured even more. When the six day war ended, Israel had taken control of the Sinai Peninsula, Gaza Strip, and The West bank of the Jordan River, the Old City of Jerusalem, and the Golan Heights.  Even back in these troubled years, there were Palestinian Terrorists that harassed the Israeli nation. They were not known as Hamas at that time, but they inflicted the same damage on the Jewish people. You think the Israeli people do not belong on this land? Let me remind you of the contract God made with His chosen people. In Genesis Chapter 12 of the NIV Bible, we read, The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you and whosoever curses you I will curse. “These are powerful words from God!  And ‘Chuck” Schumer, a Jew, the Democrat leader of the United States Senate, stood on the Senate floor and made a speech very critical of Benjamin Netanyahu, the present leader of the nation of Israel, for the world to hear. In his speech he called for the ouster of that leader. I call that election interference. “Chuck” Schumer has constantly criticized Russia for interfering in the United States elections. Now you hear him spew this hatred against the leader of God’s Chosen People. What a difference we can see in Harry Truman and “Chuck” Schumer, as to their feelings for Israel. “Chuck” needs to read the Verses of scripture in Genesis Chapter 12. He forgets that God can be a wrathful God. He is literally putting us all at risk. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should be applauded for his leadership in protecting his people from the barbarous and murderous acts of the Hamas “Palestinian” terrorists. His determination to totally eradicate the Hamas terrorists is as noble as Winston Churchill Churchill’s determination to lead his people to victory against the Nazi Germany scourge in Europe during World War II. Churchill was never criticized for the civilians in Germany that were killed in the massive bombing raids. Neither was President Truman, who OKed the US bombing raids. If a person lived in Germany during the war, that person was considered to be a part of the enemy country and many died. The same thing held true in Japan. The civilians died along with the military in the atomic blasts at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Both Churchill and Truman have been called great men of their time. Now America, represented by “Chuck” Schumer, chooses to criticize and defame Benjamin Netanyahu for doing the same. In war, the only acceptable end is an unconditional surrender of the enemy. Until they totally give up and surrender unconditionally you just keep pounding away until they are totally eradicated. Then the rebuilding and renewal can begin. Not before. Misplaced compassion and sympathy have no place in mortal combat. It will get you killed. The saying is, “He who hesitates is lost.”  Did David have mercy on Goliath after he stunned him with a stone from his slingshot? No, he took Goliath’s sword and cut his head off.
