Alicia Johnson of Smithfield won a progress game payout of $1,017 playing Bingo at the Smithfield American Legion on April 11. This is a second large progressive game payout for her in the past several years. Patrons were pleased she won; she is well liked and they heartily applauded for her. Johnson is a regular player each week; she plays the most cards in each game of almost any player. American Legion Post 49 hosts a weekly Community Bingo session at 818 South Church St. every Thursday beginning at 7 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m. Refreshments are available for purchase.
