SEDLEY – James Clifton “Jimmie” Copeland Jr., 87, passed away June 4, 2024 in Emporia Health and Rehabilitation. Born in Carrsville, he was a son of the late James Clifton Copeland Sr.

Jimmie served in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard. He was a retired millwright in the Maintenance Department at Union Camp Corporation.

Left to cherish his memory are three daughters, Linda Copeland Gregory, Kathy Copeland Larsen and Christine Copeland Cutchins; a son, James Clifton Copeland III; a stepson, Richard Bowen; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 30 at the Bronco Rod and Gun Club. Burial will be private in Rosemont Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to any favorite charity.
