FRANKLIN – Linda Wrenn Joyner, 85, passed away Aug. 21, 2024 in St. Mary’s Hospital. Born in Greensville County on Sept. 12, 1938, she was the youngest daughter of the late Richard Washington Wrenn and Jesse May Mitchell Wrenn.
Linda was a 1957 graduate of Greensville County High School and a member of High Street United Methodist Church.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Kimberly Joyner-Banty and her hus
band, Glenn, of Courtland and Kaye Wrenn Joyner of Suffolk; three sisters, Margaret W. Thrower of Emporia, Elvin W. Picano and Francis W. Matson, both of Richmond; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Lewis Quillian Joyner and five siblings, J. Reid Wrenn, Willie Burton Wrenn, Mary Lee Pearson, Ruby Wrenn Rawlings, all of Emporia and Jean Wrenn Ciletti of Baltimore, Maryland.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 25 in Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Moore officiating. A reception at The Village at Woods Edge will be immediately following the service.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home and suggests that memorial donations be made to High Street United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 218, Franklin, VA 23851.
