UPDATE Sept. 16, 2024, 11:19 a.m.According to school officials, Camp’s Franklin Campus and the Camp Center at Smithfield have reopened to students and staff as of 11:15 a.m. The Suffolk Campus remains inaccessible until further notice.

FRANKLIN, Va — Virginia State Police, Franklin Police and Fire are on the scene at Paul D. Camp Community College in Franklin for what the school has called an “emergency situation” Monday morning affecting all campuses.

We are working to gather more details, for now. The school has asked students and faculty to stay away from campus at this time.
