RICHMOND – Ann Hancock Kellogg, age 86, passed away Oct. 5, 2024 at her home in Richmond, Virginia. Ann was a native of Franklin/Southampton County, a daughter of the late Robert L. Hancock III and Elizabeth Pope Hancock Fowler and was also pre-deceased by her husband Boyd O. “Bud” Kellogg; her brothers, Robert L. “Bobby” Hancock IV and Charles E. Hancock and sister, Vivian Hancock Hall.

urch and a member of the Mary Hancock Sunday School Class. She graduated valedictorian at Courtland High School and received her Business Certificate from Longwood College. Ann retired from Manry-Rawls Corporation following 32 years of service.

Ann is survived by her daughter, Vicky Reeve Ludlam (Frank) and their son, Tyler of Richmond; her twin stepchildren, Carl Kellogg (Nonie) and their daughter, Celeste of Smithfield, Virginia and Carol Miller (Gary) of Auburn, New York and their children, Jessie Donaldson and Ike Spencer; her sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Bryant Kirkland of Boykins; sister-in-law, Cathie H. Bradshaw of Courtland, Virginia and many nieces and nephews.

Ann liked to write poetry and wrote several for her grandchildren who were the apples of her eye. She said to herself, “My life is a mere reflection of you, you see, of those whom I loved and those who loved me.” Ann loved flowers and was always fixing a vase to take to someone (along with her homemade soup and sweet pickles).

Services will be conducted in Wright Funeral Home at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 11. Family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Pastor John-Paul Lotz will officiate. Interment will commence afterwards in Riverside Cemetery in Courtland, Virginia.
