SPRINGFIELD, Georgia – Willis Pearl Buhls, 88, of Southampton County, Virginia passed away Sept. 16, 2024 at Effingham Care Center.

Born July 10, 1936 in Franklin, Virginia she worked for the Virginia Department of Forestry at the Garland Gray Forestry Center in Courtland for 28 years. Willis was a member of Millfield Baptist Church in Wakefield, Virginia.

Survivors include daughter, Linda Beale of Hardeeville, South Carolina; sons, Bobby Buhls of Franklin and Donnie Buhls of Clymer, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be planned later.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to The American Cancer Society, St. Jude Children’s Hospital or your local humane society.
