Registrar offices estimate length of election night

Officials from the registrar offices in the city of Franklin and Southampton County hope to conclude their duties this evening, Nov. 5, between 9 and 11 p.m.
Officials in Franklin noted that it is hard to say when work for the city registrar’s office will conclude tonight, but an estimate was given of 10 or 11 p.m.
Franklin officials will be tabulating votes from six precincts and the Central Absentee Precinct (CAP).
Officials in Southampton County hope to be finished entering information between 9 and 9:30 p.m.
Southampton officials will be tabulating votes from 11 precincts and the CAP, with results coming in for local town elections as well as the federal races.
