Dale Surrette Peele

GREENVILLE, North Carolina – It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved father, Dale Surrette Peele, on Dec. 11, 2024. He passed away peacefully at 88 years of age surrounded by family, friends and loved ones in his final moments.

A celebration of life ceremony for family and friends to be announced at a later date.

Papa was an amazing father, an awesome friend, a great role model

and very dedicated to his family. He enjoyed 30 years of retirement after a long-term employment as a millwright supervisor with Union Camp in Franklin, Virginia. He shared his love for golf (holding the title of Senior Club Champion multiple times), his love of yardwork, building creatively with his hands and his love for food and good company. He had a lifelong love with Lake Gaston and enjoyed sitting on his porch watching the birds, especially cardinals.

He will always be lovingly remembered by his children: Sandra (Peter Pearson), Mike, Vickie (Mac Teachey), Suzi (Hart Council) and Randy (Kristen). Papa had nine grandchildren (eight spouses), eight great-grandchildren and three nieces of whom he was very proud and bragged about regularly.
