The fat lady cranked up her voice early and sang for the entire game in a matchup between the junior varsity boys basketball teams of Southampton High School and Franklin High School on Tuesday, Dec. 17, at the SHS gym.

The home team won easily with a score of 60-15.

Indians Head Coach Josh Turner said after the game, “We just have a bunch of guys from last year coming back strong, getting better prepared in basketball. We are building the future for this program and look forward to keep winning and dominating in the Tidewater district.”

Sophomore Amaud Pittman led Southampton in scoring with 15 points.

The Indians enter 2025 with a 5-2 overall record, and the Broncos are 1-4.
