Police seek information on Uncle Jessie’s Quick Stop robbery

The Southampton County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) is requesting information from the public about an armed robbery that allegedly occurred Sunday, Jan. 12, at Uncle Jessie’s Quick Stop in Drewryville. The suspect is at large, but the SCSO is sharing photos of the suspect and the suspect vehicle.

A sheriff’s office Tuesday, Jan. 14, news release noted that on Jan. 12, SCSO deputies responded to Uncle Jessie’s Quick Stop located in the 7200 block of Southampton Parkway in reference to an armed robbery. 

“The suspect entered the store, displayed a firearm at the clerk, jumped the counter, grabbed cash from the register and locked the clerk in the bathroom,” SCSO officials stated. 

The release noted that the suspect then allegedly fled the scene in a dark, colored four-door sedan. 

The suspect’s race and gender are unknown at this time, the release stated, adding that the photos accompanying the release are of the suspect and suspect vehicle.
