Maronica Everette, a Franklin High School alumna and former JROTC cadet, reached another significant milestone in her military career, as she recently graduated from the 18th Airborne Corps Basic Leadership Course at Fort Liberty, North Carolina.

Spec. Everett’s dedication and hard work have propelled her to new heights within the United States Army. The 18th Airborne Corps Basic Leadership Course is designed to develop junior leaders and equip them with the necessary skills to successfully lead soldiers while deployed in combat and garrison environments.

The three-week course offers a thorough curriculum that covers a wide range of leadership topics, including:

  • Tactical Leadership: Developing the ability to make sound decisions under pressure and in complex situations.
  • Strategic Thinking: Cultivating a long-term perspective and understanding the broader consequences of military operations.
  • Effective Communication: Mastering both verbal and written communication skills to inspire and motivate soldiers.
  • Problem Solving: Applying critical thinking to identify and address challenges.
  • Teamwork: Development of cooperation and collaboration among team members.

By completing this rigorous course, Spec. Everette has honed her leadership abilities and is now better prepared to take on greater responsibilities within the Army. Her success serves as an inspiration to aspiring leaders, demonstrating that hard work, dedication, and a strong foundation in the JROTC program can lead to significant achievements.

LTC Wright and 1SG Robinson, JROTC Instructors at Franklin High, join with the community in celebrating Spec. Everett’s accomplishments and wish her continued success in her military career.
