To the Editor:

I have listened to The Tidewater News’ interview with Adm. David Anderson, Mark Anthony and Ted Brown.

For the record, concerning environmental studies being performed at all five sites, the Navy is now using the same environmental group (Ecology & Environment) that it used for studies in Washington County, N.C.

For those studies, the court found — from the Navy’s own documents — the Navy had “reverse engineered” the studies , an injunction was placed preventing further land acquisition, and the Navy was ordered to perform supplemental studies. That was never done.

It’s still really about the noise and pollution. Ask the residents of Virginia Beach, who are suing the Navy for $500 million.
