Wilhelmina Pollard Harrison

Funeral services for Wilhelmina Pollard Harrison were conducted Tuesday, July 12 at the Emporia Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Robert P. Wyatt officiated. Mrs. Harrison died July 9, surrounded by her family, at Chippenham Hospital in Richmond.
A Southampton County native, Mrs. Harrison was the daughter of the late Joseph Waverly Pollard and Ellie Moore Stainback. She and her late husband, W.A. (Bo) Harrison were married for 43 years until his death in 1995. A homemaker, Mrs. Harrison had also worked with the Greensville County Department of Social Services in foster care. She was a longtime member of Adams Grove Baptist Church where she had served as Sunday School teacher and church treasurer.
She is survived by her son; William A. Harrison, Jr. of Richmond; her daughter and son-in-law, Joyce Ann and Paul Kaplan of Franklin; her granddaughter, Susan M. Kaplan of Emporia and her grandson; John P. Kaplan and his wife, Stephanie; and her two great granddaughters, Callie Ann and Molly Grace Kaplan of Franklin.
Pallbearers were family members, Bobby L. Flippen, William T. Wright, Jr., John P. Kaplan; L. Thomas Woodcock, Jr., R. Sidney Williams, Jr. and Jason H. Williams.
