KEMPSVILLE—The Southampton-Sussex 11- and 12-year-old All-Stars’ season came to end on Thursday with a 13-2 loss to Great Neck during sectional play in Kempsville.

Nick Powell was tagged with the loss.

Jackson Smith hit a triple to the fence for Southampton-Sussex.

The team got into the tournament after defeating Windsor 3-0, Suffolk 7-6 and Windsor 13-3 in the title game during the district tournament.

The team lost 6-4 to Southern Chesapeake in the first game of sectionals and defeated Kempsville 13-6 on Wednesday.
