Former Franklin resident Pernell Jones, 72, died July 17, 2011.

Survivors include her husband, Howard Jones of Wake Forest, N.C.; children Michael Jones of Chesapeake, and Dennis Jones and Deborah Little, both of Raleigh, N.C.; and sisters Novella Joyner and Cora Mae Daniels, both of Franklin.
