Stanton’s experience will make her a great leader

We have two fine citizens running for the office of Isle of Wight Commonwealth Attorney.
Wayne Farmer was my closing attorney for a recent real estate purchase and I have gotten to know Jennifer Stanton through mutual friends. Like me, Ms. Stanton moved into our county about 10 years ago as the result of a career Navy move.
The professional differences between these two candidates for this specific opportunity is best summed up by Ms. Stanton’s campaign slogan: “Experience Matters”. Ms. Stanton has spent her entire career directly engaged in the field of criminal law, and as Commonwealth’s Attorney, her experience will be a great asset to our growing county.
We should embrace the skills and dedication of relative newcomers to the area. Through their diverse experiences and dedication, they bring fresh perspectives and renewed energies that add to the well being of our communities. Experience outside of the long-standing traditional county community can be very valuable.
We are fortunate to have Ms. Stanton pursuing this very responsible position; we should not discount her substantial experience just because she is not “from here.” This election day, we have the opportunity to bring her proven experience to the forefront of our county’s future with a “yes” vote for Jennifer Stanton.
