Mamie Jordan

SUFFOLK—Mamie Jordan of the 3000 block of Nansemond Parkway, died Aug. 8, 2008, at Nansemond Pointe Rehabilitation Health Care, Suffolk.

She was a native of Nansemond County and the daughter of the late Lydia Jordan and John Jordan.

She was predeceased by two sons, Howard Washington and Raymond Jordan; three sisters and four brothers.

She was a member of Union Baptist Church Shoulder Hill Road, Suffolk, where she was a member of the Usher Board No. 2 and the Busy Bee Flower Club.

Survivors include one daughter, Pearl Fenner of Suffolk; two sons, Elder George Fenner (Mable) of Zuni and Curtis Lee Fenner (Valerie) of Hempstead, N.Y.; 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Colette Jordan of New York City; special friends, James and Doris Wright; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral will be held at Union Baptist Church today by Bishop C.V. Russell Sr.

Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery.

Crocker Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
