ISLE OF WIGHT—Police have arrested a third person in connection with a July 2 raid on a Walters-area home.

Charles D. “C.D.” Bane of Duck Town Road in Zuni was arrested Wednesday on charges of possession of heroin and possession of cocaine. Bane’s arrest was the result of lab testing of evidence found at the scene, according to Sgt. M.R. Kitchen of the Isle of Wight Sheriff’s Office.

Bane was taken to Western Tidewater Regional Jail on a $3,500 bond.

The July search, which resulted from an investigation spurred by neighbors’ complaints of suspicious activity at the Walters Highway home, had yielded two immediate arrests. Craig S. Swigert and Katherine M. Snowden were both booked on drug distribution charges.

Snowden, who had been released from jail after posting bond, was re-arrested Wednesday, this time for possession of stolen property, according to Kitchen.

At the time of her latest arrest, Snowden, who uses addresses on Fire Tower Road in Windsor and Stevens Drive in Carrsville, allegedly was carrying pieces of jewelry stolen from a Carrsville home two weeks earlier, Kitchen said.

She was remanded to WTRJ with no bond. Kitchen and Investigator T.W. Glaser were the arresting officers.
