WALTERS—Neighbors had complained about suspicious activity at the house in the 28000 block of Walters Highway.

On Wednesday, many of them learned that their suspicions had been true, as police arrested two residents on charges of drug possession and distribution.

Activity at the house &uot;was just out of place in that area,&uot; Sgt. M.R. Kitchen, a spokesman for the Isle of Wight Sheriff’s Office, said in a press release. &uot;People [were] coming and going all day and night, cars driving the circular driveway like a drive-through window. It definitely stood out in the otherwise quiet community.&uot;

After a two-month investigation, sheriff’s deputies executed a search warrant at the home Wednesday night, found drugs and made two arrests, according to Kitchen.

Deputies charged Craig S. Swigert, 25, with two counts of distributing heroin and one count each of distributing cocaine and possession of marijuana.

Katherine M. Snowden, 19, was charged with distributing heroin. Both were of the Walters Highway address.

Swigert was taken to Western Tidewater Regional Jail without bond. Snowden was remanded to jail on a $10,000 bond.

Kitchen said other drugs also were found in the home and other people who had been there at the time of the raid could face future charges in the continuing investigation.
