ELIZABETH CITY, N.C.—George Vernon “Bunny” Jenkins Jr., 80, died June 22, 2008, at the Albemarle Hospital.

Mr. Jenkins was born in Rock Hill, S.C., to the late Henrietta Mae Godfrey and George Vernon Jenkins Sr.,

“Bunny” was a member of Blackwell Memorial Baptist Church and had made Winslow Memorial his home.

Survivors include a sister, Etta Jenkins Young of Casper, Wyom.; a brother, John Jenkins and wife Audrey of Carrsville; and his extended Winslow Memorial Home family.

He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Blaine Young; and Aunt Mary Wrightson.

A graveside memorial service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Old Hollywood Cemetery, with the Rev. Richard Peerey officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service and at all other times at the home of John and Audrey Jenkins, 5515 Old Carrsville Road, Carrsville, VA
