Herbert R. Rawlings

GREENWOOD, S.C.—Herbert Ronald “Ronnie” Rawlings, 74, of the 300 block of Old Brickyard Road, husband of Martha Beacham Rawlings, died June 8, 2008, at his home.
Born in Hopewell, June 4, 1934, he was a son of the late Ralph and Mary Rawlings.
Mr. Rawlings was a graduate of Franklin High School and received a business degree from Piedmont Technical College.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War and retired from Pet Dairies as office manager.
He was also a grants accountant for Piedmont Technical College in Greenwood and a judge for the Tennessee Walking Horse Association.
He was a member of Rock Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder, elder emeritus, Sunday school teacher and Sunday school treasurer.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home, is a sister, Lois Faye Mathias of Franklin; and a numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held June 10 at Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joseph Johnson officiating.
Burial followed in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
