ZUNI—Bernie Lee “Bro Bernie” Williams, 69, died June 16, 2008.
Mr. Williams was born in War, W.Va., a son of the late Fay Staten and Howard Walden Williams.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Ralph and Jerry Williams.
An Army veteran, Bernie was retired from Union Camp Corporation as a supervisor in the roll finishing department.
A local musician, he played guitar, fiddle, and especially the harmonica.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Olsen Williams; two daughters, Debbie Lee Bradshaw and husband Andy and Karen Bernadette Mulder and husband Robbie, all of Suffolk; sister, Louise Sammons of Monroe, N.C.; brother, Jimmy Williams of Tampa, Fla.; and three grandchildren, Andrea Curry and husband Chris, Zachary Mulder and Olivia Mulder.
A celebration of his life, with military honors, will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Karika officiating.
