FRANKLIN—A Franklin burglary suspect and the homeowner who fought with him were both taken to area hospitals after a Friday night break-in, Franklin Police said.
The unidentified 57-year-old victim had a catheter torn from his chest and required medical treatment, police said.
Suspect Brent Dion Lashley, 35, of 104 Langston Court was taken to Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk and transferred to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he was treated for injuries to his face and head, police said.
At 11:10, police responded to a home in the 1200 block of Rosewood Avenue for a man bleeding. When police arrived, they found the victim bleeding from the chest and the suspect.
