AHOSKIE, N.C.—Anthony Brown died May 31, 2008, at his residence.

Survivors include his wife, Gladys Brown of Ahoskie; two daughters, Maria Brown- Cherry of Charlotte, N.C. and Donna Eason of Greenville, N.C.; three brothers, Vance Brown of Ahoskie, Alvin Simmons of Roxobel, N.C. and Lonnie Simmons of Murfreesboro, N.C.; three sisters, Joann Cherry of Ahoskie, Kathy Spain and Betty Dorsey, both of Virginia Beach; and five grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Second Baptist Church Union, Ahoskie, by the Rev. M. Brian Pierce.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Reynolds Funeral Home, Inc., Ahoskie, is in charge of arrangements.
