COURTLAND—The Virginia Department of Transportation has announced that Vicks Millpond Road will be closed to through traffic next week between Waller Road and White Meadow Road.

Contractors will be rehabilitating a bridge in the area Monday through Friday of next week, according to Joe Lomax, VDOT’s Franklin Residency administrator.

A detour has been set up. From Vicks Millpond Road, travel two miles on Old Branchville Road to Sykes Farm Road. Take a left and drive 1.62 miles, then turn left onto White Meadow Road. Drive one mile back to Vicks Millpond Road.
