FRANKLIN-Hyla Joyner Brinkley, 91, died Aug. 20, 2011, at East Pavilion Nursing Home.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Carmel Christian Church in Walters, followed by burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will follow at The Village at Woods Edge, 1401 N. High St., Franklin.

Mrs. Brinkley, an Isle of Wight County native, was retired from Peoples Drug Store in Suffolk.
