Mable M. Kea

SUFFOLK—Mable Mobley Kea, 74, widow of Silas S. Kea Jr., died at Nansemond Pointe Healthcare Center, April 26, 2008.

Mrs. Kea was born in Little Washington, N.C., and was a daughter of the late Jesse C. and Bessie Edwards Mobley.

She was predeceased by her first husband Thomas Edward Hawkins, and a brother, Jesse Ray “Tom” Mobley. She was a restaurant manager and in her later years, she cared for the elderly.

She was a member of the Tucker Swamp Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Kathy Creason and husband, Paul, of Wakefield, Betty Jo Vick and husband Keith of Carrsville and Cindy Archer and husband Sonny of Wytheville; one sister, Emily Ann Ferguson of Courtland; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The graveside service was held Tuesday at Southampton Memorial Park with the Revs. Rob Edwards and Bill Dawson officiating.
