Louis H. Parham

CAPRON—Louis Henry Parham, 75, died unexpectedly on April 9, 2008.

He was a longtime resident of Capron, an Army veteran of the Korean War, a successful farmer, and an ambitious entrepreneur.

Mr. Parham loved going to auctions and yard sales, wheeling and dealing, and collecting anything and everything.

May he now join with God in search of the ultimate bargain.

He will always be remembered by his loving wife of 54 years, Joyce; a daughter, Tracy W. Parham of Capron; and a son, Franklin E. Parham of Richmond; sisters, Barbara P. Bryant and Linda P. Blythe of Courtland and Judith P. Davis of Yorktown; two sisters-in-law, Louise Parham of Claremont and Catherine Parham of Franklin; brother-in-law, Junius Warren and wife, Yvonne of Murfreesboro,

N.C.; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceeded in death by his parents, Lewis T. and Elizabeth Lovegrove Parham, sisters, Betty, Nancy, and Hettie, and brothers, Russell, Robert Lee, and Thomas.

A graveside service will be conducted today at 2 p.m. at Capron Cemetery with the Rev. James W. Smith officiating.

The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall of Capron United Methodist Church following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Capron Fire and Rescue, P.O. Box 128, Capron, Va. 23829.
