FRANKLIN—June Davis (Deepy/J.D.) and Anne G. Spivey were married on March 12, 1948, at Christ Episcopal Church in Smithfield.

They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at a luncheon in Richmond with their children.

During their 60 years of marriage, J.D. and Anne lived in Windsor, Crewe, Abingdon and Franklin.

He was a co-owner of the former Southampton Tractor Co. in Courtland.

They have three children, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Their children and their spouses include, Drew and Jean Spivey of Hopewell, Larry and Margaret Spivey of Colonial Heights and Kay and Michael Walsh of Harrisonburg.

Their grandchildren and great-grandchild include, Kelly Anne and Christian Spivey of Virginia Beach; Davis Walsh of Richmond; Katie Walsh of Princeton, N.J. and Whit Spivey of Colonial Heights.

In celebration of their anniversary, they vacationed in Cocoa Beach, Fla.
