NEWSOMS—Paul David Grant of Cypress Swamp Road, died March 29, 2008, in Franklin.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Ann Wilkerson Grant; two daughters, Betty Grant of Franklin and Lisa Newsome (Earthem) of Courtland; one son, Paul David Grant Jr. of Astell, Ga.; two stepdaughters, Wanda Long and Erica Long; one stepson, Deshaun Long; his mother, Ida B. Everette of Severn, N.C.; siblings, Roslyn Thomas of Newport News, Howard Everette Jr., Willdo Everette (Saundra), Melvin Everette of Severn, Delphine Newsome, Larry Everette (Linda) of Hampton, Wilma Wood (Jerry) of Lawton, Okla., and Bernice Davis (Calvin) of Fort Washington, Md.; seven grandchildren, eight stepgrandchildren, one great-grandchild and one aunt.

A service celebrating his life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Mount Tabor Baptist Church, 28668 N. Main St., Newsoms, with Pastor Jeremiah Cole delivering the eulogy.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
