Firefighters from Franklin, Hunterdale, Newsoms and Carrsville responded to a house fire Thursday about noon on Glendale Drive property owned by Holland Nursery near the intersection of Route 189 and Route 258, about four miles south of Franklin. The home was engulfed in fire when they arrived, and high winds continued to fan the flames, denying firefighters a chance to save the building. No injuries were reported.
