Frank B. Wyche

CAPRON—Frank Ben “Big Daddy” Wyche of the 22100 block of Carey’s Bridge Road, died Dec. 26, 2007.

Mr. Wycbe was born March 21, 1920, in Capron to the late Jesse and Virginia Parham-Wyche.

He is joining his late wife of 60 years, Eunice, who went home to glory in 2001. He was blessed to have touched seven generations.

He accepted the Lord at an early age and was baptized at Rivers Mill in Drewryville. He has been a member of the Morning Star and Mars Hill Baptist churches in Capron for at least 75 years.

Survivors include his seven sons, Lawrence of New Jersey, Moses of Capron, Willie of Ashburn, William C. Smith of Norfolk, Leonard of Chesapeake, Cornelius “Winky” and Larry of Richmond; two daughters, Paige of Capron and Delia of Richmond; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; a sister, Lena Clark of Franklin; and a host of nephews, nieces and other relatives.

He is the 11th of 12 siblings to go on to glory.

A funeral was to be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Mars Hill Baptist Church, Capron, by the Rev. Britton Joyner, pastor.

Burial with military honors will be in Capron Cemetery.

He was to lie in repose at the church at 9 a.m. Saturday.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Mars Hill Baptist Church Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 9, Capron, VA 23829.

Engram Funeral Home, 1001 Armory Drive, Franklin, was in charge of arrangements.
