ISLE OF WIGHT—The Tidewater Academy volleyball won its first match of the season, defeating Isle of Wight Academy 3-1 Wednesday.
The Lady Warriors lost 25-21 before storming back and winning 25-18, 25-21 and 25-18.
“I think the girls did great,” said Coach Amanda Binford. “They were calling the ball, covering on blocks, and their serving was consistent.”
Junior Cary Beahm played well and freshman Taylor Pruitt served well during the match, Binford said.
Tidewater Academy at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, will host Blessed Sacrament Huguenot.
